Taking a Special Interest in Each ChildSheila Tully was a champion Irish Dancer when she began teaching lessons in her mother's basement in Chicago. She has been teaching Irish Dance for over 40 years and is the longest tenured dancing teacher in the Chicago area. The Tully School is highly regarded in the Irish Dance community, having produced many champion dancers over the years. Sheila's students have performed at Walt Disney World in Florida, The White House, and at Soldiers Field and the United Center in Chicago. Her school has won first place in their category almost every year at he Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade. Many of Sheila's students have won at the Midwest Irish Dance Championships and have gone on to compete at the World Championships in Ireland. The hallmark of Sheila's teaching style is the personal attention she devotes to each individual student. Not everyone can easily take a young four or five year old and patiently teach them the fundamentals and basics of Irish dancing - but Sheila can! With a background in early education, Sheila knows how important it is to structure her teaching methods based on each child's learning needs. Perhaps more so than at any other school, the Tully students have a solid grounding in fundamentals of Irish dancing. The
benefits of Sheila's experience and teaching methods are endless.
